Executive Vice President & CFO | Solvay North America
Mark A. Dahlinger is executive vice president of Finance for the Solvay Group’s North American operations, based in Princeton, New Jersey. Mark, since the acquisition of Cytec Industries Inc, has also been the EVP of Finance for the Technology Solutions business unit based in Saddle Brook, New Jersey after serving on the Integration Management Office in charge of the US side of the acquisition of Cytec.
Appointed in 2012, Dahlinger previously worked as North American Vice President and CFO for specialty chemical producer Rhodia Inc. which was acquired by Solvay in 2011. He previously served as controller for Rhodia Inc and Director of Finance for Rhodia’s former Eco Services business as well as the Solvay Business Services group in North America from 2013-2016 which covered all shared services in North America.
Mark also sits on the Board of the Organization for International Investments as well as the Societe de Chimie Industrielle.
He previously held accounting and financial positions with the former Albright & Wilson chemicals group acquired by Rhodia in 2000. A certified public accountant, he was responsible for the corporate tax practice with Arthur Anderson LLP in Richmond, Va., from 1991-98.
Dahlinger earned a B.S. in chemistry from Virginia Military Institute and served as an Army officer from 1982-89. He also holds an MBA from Embry-Riddle University and an M.S. in finance and taxation from the University of Virginia.
